Sustainable Printing

Information about our sustainable, museum-quality fine art prints

We work with a UK fine printing company who prints all our fine art on museum-quality, sustainable, acid and lignin-free paper. Thus, all fine art prints are guaranteed to last a lifetime.  The two types of paper our printers use for our fine art are: hemp and Sugar Cane

Hahnemühle FineArt Hemp: 290 gsm - Matt Textured

FineArt Hemp uses one of the oldest and most diverse natural fibres in the world, made of 60% hemp fibre and 40% cotton, for a natural look and environmentally friendly paper production. Its bright white natural tone thanks to the bright white colour of the hemp fibre means no optical brighteners are required. The lightly textured surface gives the paper a pleasant, silky feel. This acid and lignin-free paper meets the most exacting requirements in terms of age resistance. Hemp was an essential part of paper production for centuries, and due to its extremely robust fibres, it has often been used for long-lasting historical documents, such as the Gutenberg Bible and the US Declaration of Independence.

Hahnemühle Sugar Cane: 300 gsm - Matt Textured

Hahnemühle Sugar Cane paper is made from a rapidly renewable natural raw material – sugar cane. 70% of this environmentally friendly paper consist of bagasse fibres, a by-product of sugar cane processing. The natural white, warm-toned sugar cane paper does not contain optical brighteners, and features a unique, clearly defined felt structure and tactile feel. This paper is acid- and lignin-free and meets the most stringent requirements in terms of age resistance. The unique combination of sustainable sugar cane fibres, clearly defined surface texture and impressive print quality gives the artwork outstanding expressiveness and soul.
